Founded in 2022, ILIOS has become a reference point in the energy sector, and is now known well beyond Italy. With more than twenty years in energy and renewable development behind us, we have learned to turn difficulties into opportunities, and every small success of ours is the work of people who bring together, day after day, commitment, dedication, sacrifice, perseverance and awareness.
Our story
ILIOS was founded at the end of 2022 by Energy Capital S.A. and OIKOS S.r.l., with a clear aim: to develop renewable plants and utility-scale storage systems (BESS), investing first of all in people and in the land.
What sets ILIOS apart is not so much the field we work in as the way we work in it: the whole development cycle, from site scouting to permitting and from engineering to the grid connection, is handled internally, and the external partnerships built up over the years are now part of how we run a project. That continuity is what keeps technical choices consistent, from the first feasibility study to the start of operations.
The founding partners bring more than twenty years in the energy sector and long-standing relationships with established operators. In its first years ILIOS has worked with EDISON, Aquila Capital, Sonnedix and Alternative Capital Partners, among others. Owned projects are developed through ILIOS IMPACT HOLDING S.p.A., a company held jointly with Alternative Capital Partners. ILIOS operates with management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

The people
Our team is made of people who have made energy their calling: land origination specialists, engineers and technical experts with a proven record in Renewables, development and engineering. Over the years we have handled more than 2,000 MW of plants, both built and in development, across Europe, the MENA region and Africa. Today the focus is the Italian market, with the head office in Milan and the operational office in Putignano (Bari). We also work in energy efficiency: public lighting, production plants and building automation.
